I have not found any prescription item on this site that is cheaper than my local vet. I had assumed from the TV commercials I would see a savings, but most of the things I looked up were the exact same or higher prices than I pay locally. I was dissapointed by this. I did however get a good deal on a non-prescription item, so I would check the site out again.

This is a good site to get affordable pet meds. One thing that surprised me when ordering prescription meds, my vet would not agree to using 1800PetMeds. They said that they could not be assured where the actual source of the drug was from. In my case I was ordering Interceptor for heart worm. It was obvious to me that my vet did not want me to use this source and it was not worth the hassle to get the meds. According to the information given to us from 1800Pet meds the vet could not prevent us from using them but who wants to get into that type of hassle. I do use them for my non prescrition needs.

I placed an order for medication and they were very good about getting approval from the vet. I called twice to inquire about the prescription and was very impressed with the prompt and courteous customer service people.
1-800-PetMeds carries their own generic version of a more expensive arthritis medicine for cats that is much cheaper and actually preferred by our cats.
